Zistron

Description

• Zistron is a unique product which has an excellent antibacterial activity against Pasteurella multocida which leads to prevention of its adverse effects on productive performance of rabbit flocks
• Zistron has an antimicrobial activity that results in structural and functional alterations in the cytoplasmic membrane of Pasteurella multocida, as it can interact with membrane proteins and intracellular targets that increase membrane permeability which leads to cell death
• Zistron improves the resistance of rabbits against Pasteurella multocida which prevents the incidence of acute and sub-acute rhinitis or chronic inflammation of the mucous membranes of the air passages and lungs, induced primarily by Pasteurella multocida
• Zistron decreases pH in the gut of rabbits which kills bacterial pathogens such as Clostridium spiroforme, E. coli and Salmonella, as it greatly reduces the ability of the bacterial cell to preserve its intracellular pH which leads to bacterial cell death
• Zistron reduces the incidence of pneumonia that is common in domestic rabbits due to Pasteurella multocida infections, and also reduces its symptoms such as anorexia, listless, dyspnea, and fever
