Description
- Factoral plays an important role in the function of the immune system of poultry because it is a part of innate (maternal) immunity, as it has a mechanism for bacterial killing through the hydrolysis of cell wall peptidoglycan (PG) which improves disease resistance
- Factoral also plays an important role in adaptive immune system response, so it is necessary for disease prevention and control and can be used for boosting the response of adaptive immune system after vaccination in addition to its characteristic role in increasing the size of the immune organs and lymphoid organs
- Factoral modulates the gut immunity that is reflected in serum globulin levels and disease resistance. This effect causes an increase in the antibody titers against vaccinations such as Newcastle disease virus (NDV) vaccination because of the antioxidant and immune status improvements
- Factoral maintains intestinal morphology and integrity resulting in enhanced absorption of dietary components, also improves digestion and absorption leading to solving problems of growth and conversion disturbance which resulted in improved rate of weight gain and high feed conversion ratio (FCR)
- Factoral improves gut health due to its role in decreasing the number of harmful bacteria such as Clostridium perfringens, E. coli and Salmonella and increasing beneficial bacteria resulting in better performance of the digestive system of poultry
